Delete your Soyo account
You can permanently delete your Soyo account and personal data at any time. Here’s how, what gets removed, and how long it takes.
Delete from the app
The fastest way, if you have the Soyo app installed:
- Open Soyo and go to your Profile.
- Tap Settings → Delete account.
- Confirm by typing delete my account and submit.
Request by email
If you can’t access the app, email team@joinsoyo.com from the address on your account with the subject “Account deletion request.” We’ll verify it’s you and process the deletion.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile (name, email, photo, bio) and login.
- Your venues, events, proposals, and messages.
- Your RSVPs, follows, connections, and notifications.
- Your push-notification tokens and device info.
Timeline
After you request deletion, your account is deactivated immediately and you’re signed out. There is a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel by contacting us; after 30 days the data above is permanently erased.
What we may retain
We may keep a limited record of completed payments and refunds where required by tax, accounting, and anti-fraud law (handled by our payment processor, Stripe). These records are not used to identify you on the platform and are retained only as long as the law requires. See our Privacy Policy for details.
